About The Learning Advantage
My main program is focused on dyslexic children.  It is an alpha-phonics program based on Orton-Gillingham theories of multi-sensory education.

I do offer several different individualized options so parents can tailor what they want their children to have extra help in.  Study skills, handwriting, and reading are just some of the areas I tutor in.

There is a special focus on dyslexic children with the alpha-phonics program that is a standard in Frisco ISD and surrounding ISD's as remediation for dyslexia.  This gives an opportunity for home-school parents and private school parents to engage my services for their children when such services might not otherwise be available.

The motto of The Learning Advantage is to "Get the A."  It's not always about the grade but about the advantages that are afforded a child when reading is a joy and not a chore.

With my services at The Learning Advantage...I strive to give children every advantage and then watch them fly.

On a more personal note, my experiences are not that different than yours.  My husband is dyslexic.  Our two sons, 13 and 10 are dyslexic and dysgraphic.

We homeschool our oldest son and our youngest is a 5th grader in our local public school.

Our family has struggled and overcome many of the same obstacles you are probably facing.  It is an honor to share those with special interests groups and do so as part of my public awareness programs, "Dysing Around" and "Don't Dys Me."
